Tasting notes
Tropical aromas of guava, lychee and pineapple. Also lactic acidity, notes of Japanese mandarin, quince and black tea. The palate is gentle with citrus, floral and subtle sweet fruits. The tannins are mild and the wine is easy to drink. Can be drunk with a meal or on its own.

Food pairing
Sashimi, sushi, carpaccio in Japanese style with ponzu, vegetable tempura, mozuku in vinegar sauce, vinegared octopus and cucumber, yakitori (salted), chawanmuchi (steamed egg custard with dashi stock), steamed chicken with spring onion sauce, fruit jelly.

Winemaking
An orange wine made exclusively from grapes grown in Kitani Wine’s own vineyards. The Delaware grapes are cultivated in their vineyard in Habikino City, Osaka Prefecture, while the Monde Briller, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Gris are sourced from their vineyard in Tenri City, Nara Prefecture. Monde Brilliant is a Japanese white wine grape variety, developed by crossing Chardonnay with Cayuga White, a downy mildew-resistant grape. It is characterized by its rich, muscat-like aroma.

The wine is made mainly from Delaware. A blend of white wines including Delaware, Monde Briller, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Gris, with the addition of an orange wine made from Delaware.
