Winemaking
This wine is a blend of fermented Chardonnay grapes from the 2021 vintage, matured for more than eight months in two 500-litre barrels, and Chardonnay grapes vinified with Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Chenin Blanc and Syrah matured for more than eight months in 228-litre barrels, before bottling (with a small amount of chaptalisation as a special exception only in this vintage). The 2021 harvest was relatively smooth, with no typhoon attacks in a long time. However, intermittent rainfall from late July to September fattened the grapes with water, giving them a fresh impression. However, good weather conditions and cold temperatures from mid-September onwards resulted in a crisp, acid-driven vintage.

The FUKUIHARA series is made exclusively from their own grapes, and grapes from neighbouring contract growers in the same Fukuihara area. The wines strongly reflect the terroir of the region. The series is produced with the image of wine to be drunk casually with everyday meals, and the labels have a pop design. The environment of the Fukuihara area and the winery is represented: a nature surrounded by mountains and with a very beautiful starry sky at night. The pheasant depicted in the centre is frequently seen in the area. It is a lovely bird with comical movements and calls, but it eats grapes. In this label, the pheasant symbolises nature and how the winery family is swayed by the harsh nature.
